Sexuality has been around for a billion years. Why? Asexual reproduction (copying oneself) is faster, more efficient, less prone to errors and mutations, and safer. Sexuality offers only one evolutionary advantage, and it’s one that the Wild Goose community embraces whole-heartedly: diversity. With flowers as our sensual tour guides, Science Ambassador JD Stillwater takes us on an immersive multimedia experience into the science of sex, both sexual reproduction and biological sex, with implications for gender, inclusiveness, and the long-term future. The deep cooperation embedded in sexuality allowed for the living Earth’s vibrant complexity, offering lessons for all of us, and for our sexuality.
